South Bay leads Bay Area job market, East Bay also profit

“The economy has definitely turned the corner, and South Bay is at the forefront of that recovery,” said Jordan Levine, Director of economic research with Beacon economics. “Now the improvement is taking a steam bath and spread to other areas.

By far the strongest job growth in the Bay Area has been posted by the South Bay, which got a job for months, said 2,800 State Employment Development Department. East Bay added 400 jobs.

With the benefit of jobs in November, the South Bay has been adding jobs over the past 15 months in a row. This wave represents the longest such stretch since the expansion work is a 16-month string that ends in September 2006, before the recession began.

The weakest area in the Bay Area in November that the San Francisco-San Mateo-Marin, who lost her job 2300; and Sonoma County, which shed 2,100 jobs.

The San Francisco-San Mateo-Marin also shed 1,300 construction work, which could be caused by the contractor decided to delay the building permits for new projects.
