The federal Government is investigating other people with close ties to Kwame Kilpatrick: Jeff Beasley, Ex-Detroit Mayor fraternity brother and former City Treasurer.
According to a deposition obtained by the Free Press, Beasley was the target of a federal grand jury probe involving two Detroit city pension funds.
This information was revealed in a five-hour deposition in a civil suit last month, where Davis took the fifth amendment over 450 times, refused to answer questions about whether he took bribes or kickbacks–including Super Bowl tickets, cruise and free condo–fixed in exchange for a pension support transactions.
Beasley would not even say how he met Kilpatrick, let alone answering the question about whether or not he encouraged businesses in Alabama to donate $ 100,000 to Kilpatrick’s Defense Fund in exchange for political favors.
